Lighthearted Everyday Cooking
This is an updated version of the first cookbook I ever owned. With recipes that are as good for you as they taste, it's the one cookbook I refer to over and over. My copy is old and worn and well-loved. Recipes such as mango salsa, lemon rosemary chicken, and chinese noodle-mushroom soup show the variety of recipes available. It has everything from soups to salads to meatless to meat-full to desserts. Your Canadian Food Story
Author Loretta Friedrich collected recipes and stories from across Canada in this collection. Proud to be a contributor, I share my story about saskatoon berry picking and a delicious recipe for my double-berry crumble. |

Small Appliances |
ActiFry
Of all the appliances I've ever used, this is the one that I would replace immediately if it quit working. We use it at least once a week, sometimes more often, to cook everything from peppers with chicken to roasted potatoes to roasted chickpeas. It's so easy to clean and easy to use. This version is updated over the one I currently own with a removable timer which makes it more versatile then the one I currently own. |

Kitchen Necessities |
Stainless Steel Utensil Set
Over the years I've used many different utensils. Some have worked out better than others. I like this set because they won't melt or discolour, they won't snap or break, and they are the utensils I'd most often use. If you're setting up your kitchen or buying for a student or housewarming, this is a great set to provide the ones they'll most often need. |

Silicone Muffin Tins
These are for so much more then muffins. I use them to make mini lasagna, to freeze lunch-sized portions of leftover chili or meat sauce and pasta, and use them to freeze individual portions of oatmeal for quick lunches. I also love them for making "egg bites" similar to the ones sold at a popular coffee shop. If you purchase these make sure you ask me for the recipe! |
