Time to “Bulk Up”?

Let’s be clear, I am definitely not suggesting hoarding. That leads to chaos, panic, and stress for everyone in the community- it’s in no way helpful these days.

However, you don’t have to wait until you completely run out of something either. If you’re out of kidney beans, pick up an extra can (or 2). Ditto for other shelf or freezer-stable item.

Knowing what you use a lot of and what will keep is paramount- it makes no sense to stock up on something that will go bad and ultimately end up in the compost or landfill. Bulk purchases don’t have to be massive amounts of “extra” items- just a couple of extra items in your pantry is incredibly helpful to bridge the gaps in availability.

Some other ideas to consider:
  • Going in with other families on a cow or half cow from local area farmers- usually cheaper per pound, you can pick the cuts you want, and everyone gets assured of excellent quality.
  • Sharing a large bulk trip to a warehouse store (such as Costco) for those things that you know you’ll use but don’t have space to store a huge amount of (facial tissue, toilet paper, case lots of tomato sauce, etc) Bulk purchases shared between friends and families help keep supplies available for everyone.

The most important thing to remember: Label and date everything so it can be used rather than wasted.

Wishing you a marvelous day! I’d enjoy hearing what your favourite way to “bulk up” is- please drop me a line here or hop over to Facebook and join the conversation there!

I have a rampage iv extreme with a 4930K running el capitan, all fine. Try to install catalina because programs need it, but using the open core guide, made the efi, boot pen with the recovery, but can't install, just blank screen. No option, nothing. This is the efi I made, can anyone tell me where is the error? Is there a way to check the efi configuration of my current el capitan that boots so will work on catalina? It has a kepler titan so I now it works. Will be the same install catalina, big sur or monterey, anyone of the 3 that can works fine.

To proceed with the modifications, it is advisable to reach out to the community or support channels associated with the Ultra96 board to get assistance from individuals who have experience with both versions. They can provide guidance, advice, and potentially even modified versions of the BSP that are compatible with the v1 board.
